Otunba Alaba Alabi Bamidele Charles has been re-elected President of the Real Estate Managers Association of Ondo State (REMASSO).
The inauguration ceremony, held yesterday at the association’s secretariat in Ijapo, Akure, attracted prominent members of REMASSO’s Board of Trustees (BOT).
In his acceptance speech on behalf of the newly inaugurated Executive Committee and the general membership, Otunba Alabi expressed deep appreciation to the BOT for the successful conduct of the programme. He described the trustees as “the pillars of the body.”The re-elected President pledged to surpass expectations within the next 24 months and outlined five major deliverables: the completion of the association’s new secretariat along Oda Road, the facilitation of its official commissioning, the replenishment of the association’s financial resources, strengthened commitment to members’ welfare, and the restoration and redemption of the body’s public image.
To underscore his commitment, Otunba Alabi Charles announced a personal donation of ₦3 million – as a start – towards the building project, urging other members to rally support and redeem their pledges to ensure the timely completion of the secretariat.
“I see this Association as my family, and I promise to do more. I will not relent,” he said, calling for sustained unity and maximum cooperation from all members to actualise the administration’s objectives.
Speaking with Gok Communications after the inauguration, Otunba Alabi described the mandate as “a call to service to do more.” He further stated: “Yes, we thank God for today. By God’s grace, I have been re-elected for another 24 months to pilot the affairs of Real Estate Managers of Ondo State. I return all glory to God. It is indeed a call to service, a call to do more. We have achieved some wonderful milestones, and we trust that God will provide the enabling grace to surpass what we have done in the past. By the special grace of God, we will reposition Real Estate Managers of Ondo State to greater heights and to a place of prominence within Ondo State.”
The event witnessed a large turnout of members from across the state, who took turns to congratulate the newly inaugurated executive members. The ceremony also featured the REMASSO’s state meeting, which deliberated on the way forward for its activities both within its internal frameworks and its service to the public.
The newly inaugurated executive members' tenure is expected to run for the next two years.
