The Oyemekun Grammar School Akure Alumni Association Secretariat was abuzz with excitement over the weekend as the 1971/1975 Set celebrated its 50th Anniversary of leaving the prestigious institution in grand style. The occasion brought together eminent alumni, including Mr. Dayo Aregbesola (rtd.), a former Statistician General of Ondo State, who led the opening prayer, expressing heartfelt gratitude to God for the milestone achievement and seeking divine protection and provision for the set, school management, and the alumni association. In his opening remarks, Rev. Ayo Ikulamberu, Chairman of the 1971/1975 Set, who is also the Global PRO of the Oyemekun Grammar School Akure Alumni Association, paid tribute to God for sparing the lives of the set members, many of whom have transitioned to glory or are now in their twilight years.
