Disgraceful WhatsApp Screenshot: Betty Vs Omowumi


Former Ondo State First Lady, Betty Akeredolu, in a war of words with Ondo Finance Commissioner, Isaac Omowumi.


This was contained in the Betty's Facebook profile where she screenshot a WhatsApp conversation between herself and Omowumi. In what appeared to be a drama, both women greatly insulted each other. 


Why are some women like this? We saw a very disturbing video recently where different ladies at different places were seen fighting dirty in public on Valentine's Day. What for? Because of men? 


The drama between Betty Akeredolu and Isaac Omowumi is also quite disturbing, and it's unfortunate to see two respected women engaging in such a public feud. It's even more concerning when we consider the fact that some of our young ladies look up to such people. 


In many societies, women are socialised to compete with each other, often for the attention and validation of men. This leads to a culture of rivalry, where women feel like they need to tear one another down to succeed. It's a toxic act that can be damaging to women's relationships and overall well-being.


Furthermore, when women in positions of power engage in public feuds, it can perpetuate negative stereotypes about women being catty or overly emotional. This can be particularly harmful in societies where women are majorly marginalised or excluded from leadership positions.


Rather than focusing on tearing each other or one another down, women should be supporting and uplifting each other. By working together and promoting a culture of solidarity and mutual respect, women can achieve greater empowerment and equality.

Tragedy: Female Student Stabbed Male Student over Dispute

A disturbing incident happened at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, on Monday, leaving the student community in shock. A 100-level English Education student, simply indentified as Aisha, allegedly stabbed a fellow student from the Chemistry Education department with a broken bottle near his chest. The altercation arose from a seemingly argument over phone charging, which rapidly escalated into a violent confrontation.
