The School of Logistics and Innovation Technology, Department of Entrepreneurship, Federal University of Technology, Akure, will confer an Award of Excellence in Hospitality Entrepreneurship on Dr. Adeniyi Ayodeji Ijogun, FNIQs, RQS, FSCIarb, MBA, MSc, FCE, FDM, CFIAR, MACostiE, Dip. Law, at its 2026 Annual Entrepreneurship Eminent Personality Lecture scheduled for tomorrow. Adeniyi will also serve as a Special Guest of Honour at the occasion.
FUTA cited his “immense contributions towards building Africa into an entrepreneurial and innovative continent in the 21st century,” as the underlying qualification. He is being honoured specifically for Excellence in Hospitality Entrepreneurship as Chairman of Premier Holiday Resorts, Igbara-Oke in Ondo State.
According to FUTA, the lecture commemorates World Creativity and Innovation Day and World Entrepreneurship Day, in line with United Nations International Observances on the role of entrepreneurship in national prosperity.

Dr. Ijogun is the Pioneer and Immediate Past Global President of the Oyemekun Grammar School Akure Global Alumni Association. The prestigious institution — Great OGSA — witnessed unprecedented development under the leadership of the celebrated business mogul. This award positions him as one of the leading alumni driving entrepreneurship, innovation, and institutional development beyond his alma mater to national and global impact.
At the event, seven other eminent personalities will be honoured, including leaders in Agripreneurship, Technology, Youth Development, Industrial Growth, and Enterprise Development.
FUTA also noted plans to build an Innovation Hub and is seeking partners who may wish to have the Hub named after them to support practical entrepreneurship education. This becomes even more imperative as Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Remi Tinubu, recently stressed the importance of entrepreneurial skills acquisition and practicality. Dr. David Ilori is the Ag. Head of the Department, while Prof. Abolaji Dada is the Chairman of the Lecture Planning Committee
