The Ondo State Arch Diocesan Head and Shepherd in Charge of CCC Ondo State Arch Diocesan Headquarters, Agunloye Cathedral, Agunloye Lane, Off Ondo Road, Akure, Venerable Superior Evangelist (Prophet) (Dr) Adebayo Adekoya, has stated that God proved Himself beyond imagination when expressing gratitude to God for the resounding success of the 2025 Galilee programme. He made this statement while fielding questions from Elder Bro Goke Williams, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Gok Communications, at the CCC Grammar School, Aule Road, venue of the Galilee, in Akure.
Affirming that God remains the Alpha and Omega and never puts the church to shame, Adekoya highlighted the disparity between expectations and the actual outcome, saying: "As people expected the outcome of the Galilee programme to be, it wasn't how it turned out. Today, God proved Himself among us as our God, and He did not put our faith to shame, according to Matthew 28, God said we should go and wait for Him at the Galilee for there He would meet us", underscoring God's promise and faithfulness.
In his Easter message, Dr Adekoya affirmed Jesus' death and resurrection, calling on Christians to use the period for genuine repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior. He encouraged believers to follow God's commandments to inherit eternal life, referencing John 13. The CCC Ondo State Arch Diocesan Head emphasised that Jesus' resurrection is a testament to His power and love.
The cleric further thanked God for the event's huge success and, on behalf of Celestians, particularly those who participated in the commemoration of the Passion Week, appreciated the grace given to celebrate Easter – Jesus' resurrection. He prayed: "All glory and honour we return to God. Our prayer is that all that contributed to the success of the Galilee programme that God in the joy of this year's festive will spare their lives and multiply them in all ramifications in Jesus' name, amen."
Moreover, the highly revered man of God heartily prayed for God's continued blessings on all celestians, particularly those who contributed to make the event a huge success.
The Galilee programme featured various exciting activities, including an Easter carnival rally, award presentations to participated parishes, fun games, musical jamboree, love feast, and lots more.
This year's event witnessed a huge turnout. The Galilee is an anual gathering of Celestians in Ondo State that celebrates faith and community under the leadership of CCC Ondo State Arch Diocesan Headquarters, Agunloye, Akure.
