BREAKING: Sowore Has Been Arrested

Newsflash: Omoyele Sowore, human rights activist, has just been arrested at the Federal High Court by the Nigerian police. In a video clip circulated on the social media, he was seen arguing with a set of police men. He was later asked to go with them to the station. Sowore earlier met with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the Federal High Court today. Sowore wrote: "The man is powerful and unrelenting. We greeted and hugged and the bond is strong!"

Governor Aiyedatiwa at 60: A Paragon of Maturity, Humility, and Tenacity


It is my utmost privilege to join well-meaning individuals across the globe, particularly our dear people of Ondo State, in extending heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency, Hon (Dr) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, on the auspicious occasion of your remarkable 60th Birthday. 


Six decades of existence stand as a testament to your indomitable spirit in overcoming life's adversities. You have unequivocally devoted your life not only to the people of Ondo State but also to the generality of mankind. Your mature approach to governance has further endeared your personality to a multitude beyond measure. Your leadership has played a pivotal role in enhancing the state's infrastructure across the board and uplifting the civil service.

 

I must pay a deserving tribute to your magnanimous infusion of maturity, humility, and tenacity into the routine responsibilities of steering the government machinery amidst challenges. This celebration transcends the mere passing of time; it is a true reflection of your exceptional leadership attributes and substantial contributions to the advancement of Ondo State. Your remarkable achievements within a brief timeframe attest to your visionary leadership founded on integrity.


Your Excellency, the engagement of many of our youth in key governmental positions under your able administration is a testament to your confidence in their abilities, competence, and extraordinary strength – a praiseworthy gesture and a legacy destined to endure eternally. By all standards, your composition – cool, calm, and collected – serves as an inspiration to many of us.


As you mark this significant milestone of a sexagenarian, may you be enveloped by all-encompassing  peace, progress, and prosperity. Sir, I wish you unwavering strength and exceptional wisdom akin to that of the Biblical Solomon as you lead us to the promised land.


I also condole with the government and the populace of our cherished state on the painful loss of Hon Temitayo Oluwatuyi (Tuykana), the Secretary to the Government of Ondo State. May God comfort the government, Akure Kingdom, the deceased's family, friends, and followers.

Has FG Banned UTME?

The viral information that UTME/JAMB has been banned has been rejected by the Federal Government. The press release from the federal ministry of education only modifies some guidelines for admissions into our various tertiary institutions. The viral online report that stated that the Federal Government of Nigeria has put an end to the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has been debunked by the federal ministry of education.  Though some claimed that the rumoured reform was long overdue and that it was a welcome development in the Nigerian educational sector.
